His lecture talks about the wind as the main game mechanic of Ghost of Tsushima. With the help of the wind, Jin is shown important points that the user selects on the map, and it looks more organic than the standard lines on the ground and compasses from other games.
The main task before the studio was quite difficult – to optimize the wind so that the PS4 processor could cope with the load. When the wind shows the direction, and just blows in the game, it interacts with hundreds of objects, each of which needs to be calculated.
